‘Naufrages’ is a podcast created by Daniel Fiévet. The podcast series is produced and published through France Inter for Radio France.
The French broadcaster Radio France and the Danish podcast company Podster enter their first agreement. The two companies plan to adapt the popular survival podcast ‘Naufragés’ for the Nordic region.
The agreement with Radio France marks another international partnership with a public broadcaster for Podster. Radio France is the leading public radio group in France, known for its high-quality journalism and cultural programming. The collaboration will begin with a documentary series, with the potential for additional titles if the partnership proves successful.
“This is an exciting time for Podster, with several great projects and partnerships taking shape. We are thrilled to begin working with Radio France on the adaptation of Naufragés, a compelling documentary series. We believe our valued collaborators will recognise the show’s potential, just as we do,” comments Henriette Høj Gharib, CEO of Podster.
Radio France’s podcast Naufragés – une histoire vraie is a gripping documentary exploring extraordinary survival stories. Each episode recounts real events where individuals were stranded in the most extreme conditions. The series spans continents and centuries, revealing how people survive when facing starvation, despair, and the raw forces of nature. Based on survivor testimonies, the podcast offers a powerful reflection on human nature and the will to survive.
Naufragés was originally produced by and published through France Inter, the leading radio station in France for original podcasts. The creator is author Daniel Fiévet, who has also produced the series Le temps d’un bivouac about travel and exploration. The original version has been a notable success in its home country, with more than 10 million streams since its release. Naufragés holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
“We are proud to see Naufragés reach audiences beyond France. And we are excited about the potential this collaboration holds for sharing powerful stories globally with Podster,“ says Bruno Laforestrie, Head of Development at Radio France.
