Danish production company Podster and Romanian streaming platform Voxa collaborate to publish the true crime-meets-history podcast ‘Fatal Encounter’ and the documentary ‘The Last Summer of Lady Diana’.
Building on earlier success in Romania, Podster is extending its deal with streaming platform Voxa to bring ‘The Last Summer of Lady Diana’ and ‘Fatal Encounter’ to three additional countries. The shows will roll out in Serbia, Hungary, and Croatia in autumn 2026.
Two years after their initial collaboration, Podster and Voxa are widening their partnership, with Voxa acquiring the rights to adapt The Last Summer of Lady Diana and Fatal Encounter for new markets. The renewed agreement reflects the continued performance of the shows and a shared ambition to scale them across the region.
The Last Summer of Lady Diana is a nine-part series exploring the final period of Princess Diana’s life and her enduring global influence. The series was originally produced for RTL Deutschland by Audio Alliance and GALA.
Fatal Encounter, created by What’s the Story Sounds, focuses on historical true crime stories, examining the deaths of well-known figures and the circumstances behind them. Voxa will adapt a selection of episodes for each market.
For Podster, the deal highlights the long-term value of its partnerships and the growing demand for localised, narrative-driven content beyond English-speaking audiences. Expanding into Serbia, Hungary, and Croatia marks another step in strengthening the company’s footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.
The localised versions of both shows are expected to launch across the new markets later this year.
